Clinton Thomas Hayden was born September 2, 1892 in Anderson County. He was the son of John and Alice Thurman Hayden and married to Princess Rosebud Hardman Mason (1895 – 1985 d/o George and Kitty Wiles Mason). Princess’s brother was the Rev. Henry Mason of Bracktown Baptist Church. Their children were John T Hayden, Sidney Hayden, Vernell Hayden, Otis Hayden, Dolly F Hayden, Mexico Hayden. In the 1950’s, Clinton became interested in the Hervey town area. and ran for councilman. Prior to his death on March 12, 1966. He was a Deacon and Trustee for East Maple St Christian Church.
